Good. It took long enough but they got there. Now are they going to DO something?

I applaud your efforts. I just saw that you have started a petition at change.org asking for a new law to stop the promotion of dangerous and useless `treatments’. I don’t think a new law is the answer. We already have very adequate consumer law, such as the Consumer Protection from Unfair Trading Regulations 2008. The problem is that Trading Standards officers are extremely reluctant to enforce the law. The reason is partly a lack of resources and partly misunderstanding of the legislation. I suggest that a petition to the government asking for proper enforcement would be a better option.

BAD idea, very bad… more research required as to the nature of big pharma.

Try Ben Goldacre’s Ted talk on what doctor’s don’t know about the drugs they prescribe.

Check out the unexpected consequences of such ill considered legislation and also the groups involved in vaccine research in the UK.

    Also the movie Vaxxed.

Hi, I hear what you are saying and can’t argue that some of the so say cures are very dangerous. I have a 20 year old son with autism so I feel your pain. But on the other hand if it wasn’t for the research and trying something that is so say dangerous I possibly wouldn’t be here to support my son. I had terminal cancer doctors couldn’t help, after alot of research I discovered apricot kernels which have cyanide in! I believe it was this that saved my life and continue to take them. Basically the cyanide only gets unlocked by an enzyme that is present in cancerous cells and not healthy ones. I think it is up to us to dig deeper and decide what is best to try. Once again there is also no serious evidence to support that apricot kernels cure cancer, but there are many many people who will say different.
So I can’t support your petition and I hope one day we find something one that will help with autism. All the best

I don’t for a moment think that Ben Goldacre would endorse the movie Vaxxed, which is a rabble-rousing work of fiction.
